She was accompanied at the premiere by her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz.Heidi Klum’s striking ensemble was the perfect sequel to her headline-making debut look at the festival—a floral Elie Saab couture gown with a dramatic train that appeared to defy newly implemented dress code guidelines.
According to an updated charter from organizers, “Voluminous outfits—particularly those with large trains—that disrupt guest flow or complicate theater seating are not permitted. Festival staff will be required to deny red carpet access to anyone who does not comply with these rules.”
Klum isn’t alone in subtly pushing back against the new dress code. Fellow Cannes attendee Halle Berry recently shared that she had to swap her original outfit to comply with the updated regulations.
“I had an amazing dress by Gupta that I cannot wear tonight because it has too big of a train,” Berry told reporters at the opening night gala. “I’m not going to break the rules.”
